Slush Pool Started For $45 - Founder Speaks About Building Multi-MIllion Dollar Blockchain Businesses!

Early days of bitcoin or how some like to remember them, the Wildest Wild West days of bitcoin were some quite fun times.

Early days of bitcoin or how some like to remember them, the Wildest Wild West days of bitcoin were some quite fun times. To stay fair, then the majority of talk that concerned bitcoin around that time were associations with dark webs and illegal anonymous activities, not the brightest shade if you ask us but despite the rocky ride real visionaries never lost sights on the true potential of blockchain technology and even built multi-million dollar businesses on top of it!

Slush Pool Started On A $45 Virtual Hosting Machine

Marek Palatinus, known as Slush in the blockchain community, has recently given an interview where he spoke out about how he had started one of the largest bitcoin mining pools today with a forty-five dollar investment, he spent it on a virtual hosting machine and continue to build a multi-million dollar business on top of it which helped him seed the development of a Trezor hardware wallet, which is one of the most popular BTC hardware wallets used today.

Unfortunately, there is no reason to get too excited about Slush building his empire for peanuts, at least not if you are thinking that you will do it as well. To be frank, then you could probably find something other blockchain related and turn it into a fortune while starting from scratch but building a mining pool for a small investment is an impossible task today due to the high hash rate competition on the network.

Blockchain Technology Open For Anyone

One of the big differences between the blockchain technology and many other innovations that mankind has witnessed in the past century is that the early stages of development have been open for anyone rather than have it closed for a private group, which has been a favorable factor towards the little guy finding a way for his come up.

Peyton2016: Bitcoin come up
Fri, 08/18/2017 - 19:12

Im sure were all aware of the 12 year old that bought a $1000.00 dollars worth of coin in 2011 when it was trading at $12.00 a coin with the money his parents gave him. Obviously hes currently a millionaire. And what ever happened to the pizza guy. The one spending uber amounts of coin for pizza. Obviously not rich now, on the other hand you have the guys and gals that delivered. If they held their millionaires from a pizza. But in all honesty I have a cousin that lives in Arkansas. He managed to get in at a low price. And claims his massive house was purchased for $5.00 dollars. I have no favorite platform as of yet. Other then Betcoin..

The Power Of Early... Investing in promising technology. My personal favorite bloch-chain platform is When you can potentially get paid crypto-currency called steem to vote comment post & curate!!!
One friend younger brother, bought bitcoins by accident when it was under $1, I said accident because he was trying to buy something completely different lol... long story short 24 bitcoins held for 7 months sold for $112 give or take at sell time!!!

OneTime: I only use coinbase nowadays.

I did play around with bitcoin in the early days, but unfortunately I have no idea if and how much did I have and my old pc is long gone. I could have been multi millionaire for all I know lol

jramy: Blockchain- Smart Contracts
Sat, 08/19/2017 - 00:25

The best application within the block-chain in my opinion is the smart contracts. Smart contracts will make lots of binding things much easier and more transparent to both parties. In the future this might be in use daily if it catches on which I hope it does.

Definitely the person on bitcointalk who bought pizza for 10,000 bitcoins who knows he might have more hidden to this day, or maybe the guy who sold it saved his bitcoins. It is very unlikely though since their was literally no sign of it going to rise. There are also many people who invested in bitcoin early on and made amzing profit never met any of them personally though.

Nope I should have invested in ethereum when it was cheap, I would have made so much but I disregarded it and kept looking at bitcoin when it was already quite high at $200 :p.

trump2017: Waves Platform.
Sat, 08/19/2017 - 03:28

What is the Waves Platform? For those involved in the cryptocurrency space, you’ve probably heard of the Waves Platform. Last year, during its crowdfunding campaign, Waves was able to gather an astounding amount of BTC, roughly 30k BTC, making it the 7th most successful crowdfunding campaign in the world so far. But what is Waves exactly? As far as
The Waves platform is described as a Open Blockchain platform, one that takes the functionalities of Bitcoin and extends them further beyond the simple application of value transfer. The idea is not to create a replacement for Bitcoin, but rather a platform where Bitcoin, cryptos, fiat currencies, and all types of real-world commodities and assets can be issued, transferred and exchanged in a fully decentralized manner. The Waves platform also provides a crowdfunding solution through its lite client wallet.
Although the concept of decentralized exchanges and assets is not new, they are usually not very functional. Not only are these exchanges complicated, they also require the user to find an out-of-band solution to convert tokens into fiat and vice versa. Waves, however, employs the best of two worlds to bring a fully functional exchange that is as fast as a centralized one but does not suffer from the same security issues thanks to Matcher enabling HFT, asset-asset trading and innovative token approach. The fiat-crypto problem is also solved through Waves’ fiat gateways.
Waves’ fiat gateways are run by compliant gateway operators which are organizations (like payment providers) thanks to which users can easily convert their fiat currencies into tokens on the Waves blockchain. These fiat tokens (wUSD, wEUR, etc) can then be transferred on the blockchain itself much faster than any traditional banking transfer and for a much lower fee. Users are then able to withdraw their tokens for fiat once they are received. Other cryptocurrencies can also be tokenized on the Waves blockchain, which is the case of wBTC, a corresponding asset on the Waves blockchain that is backed 1:1 by real Bitcoin.
These features can be accessed through the Waves lite wallet which does not require users to store the blockchain and can be downloaded and run as html, or as a standalone Chrome app that automatically updates when new versions are released.

I heard about a guy a long time ago who purchased like 500 bitcoins in 2011 when it was $1 a coin. Then month or two later he got into some serious trouble and was sent to prison for 6 years. I heard he was released recently and has over 2 million dollars in bitcoin now ........... I guess crime does pay !!!

shandefoye: blockchain identity
Sat, 08/19/2017 - 13:36

Trust on blockchain identity.
Because they protect my identity by encrypting it also secure from spammer.
Best example for there is a digitle passport which launch in 2014.
Simply i stored passport on ledger and given my bitcoin address with public IP,and confirmed by blockchain user.

Underworld: Sadly but I didn`t know about bitcoin in early days :(
Sat, 08/19/2017 - 14:55

On internet, forums, news there is a lot of stories about early adopters and how people become millionaires with just few hundred dollars invested. Honestly I don`t know can i believe in all of them, but that is not the point, past is the past. At least I say that cause I don`t wish to regret cause of missed opportunity, I would rather look forward and bitcoin will rise more, I think if we are here now we are not late, still!
One of the best blockchain application is smart contracts, the world of smart contracts is fast approaching and its something worth paying attention in my opinion.

In Colorado, I frequent the medical marijuana shops. Not too long ago a clerk mentioned "weed coin" as a potential solution to the dispensaries banking issues. from what i understand its still a gamble because it has to end up at a bank anyway?
The value of Potcoin for today is $0.13354378. It has a current circulating supply of 218 Million coins and a total volume exchanged of $1,200,141.9

SickMetaGame: Problem with the majority of ALT...
Sat, 08/19/2017 - 16:56

Alternative coins tend to run into the same problem and that is the extreme difficulty in trading them. Looked into PotCoin about half a year ago when I heard how they sent Rodman down to Korea to endorse (or dump) it... One was trading around $0.15, seems it has stayed right around there but once again if you would want to move them in higher amounts then finding exchangers becomes hard. That was the reason what drove me away from researching further because the p2p platform designed for the trades appeared to be rather trivial. This concept sounds to have potential but if I'd have to wager on marijuana getting global legalization before the majority of cannabis industry will adapt to using PotCoin then I would.

In order for the digital currency to survive, it has to be either mass adopted which would allow you to pay merchants directly or trading it in any amount would have to be possible in close to an instant time frame.
