Sverige83: I know my All in was also
Mon, 12/11/2017 - 08:01

I know my All in was also terrible but i dont belive his raise so i decided to go all in here that he will fold.
I would never call all in with over 50$ with K5.
And the answer from support to this issue was "This is how poker works from time to time. Thank you"

Was the "thank you" an innuendo to many thanks we received that money thankfully?
I am not concerned with having lost the better start hand.

I have lost countless times in online poker with the better start hands.
For example
KK vs 23os
AA vs K10
and so on. I know that is Poker but it's about understanding how to do call with any cards an all in with these terrible hands.
In HU Play i would also raise a hand like K5 but after an all in after an reraise i wouldnt call with so much money.
But okay, maybe the player has already won enough money to make such moves.
Wherever there is money on the internet there can be cheated.
Even big pokerrooms like pokerstars are not protected from unauthorized game software.
But they get rid of such incidents, they take care of that and check it out. So they've gotten some bots out of circulation and the players who were betrayed have compensated them.

So my questions, are here any such prohibitions for certain software?
How are players protected from manipulations?

I would also like to say again that I do not think I have been betrayed by a bot.
But it just makes me ask a few questions. And i thinking all the time about these hand.

So I do not want to offend anyone with this debate.

I would like to start an exchange of experiences like others have played in HU games.
What are your experience in HU Games here?
Maybe also with hand histories please.

Thank you.
I hope next time the poker god is for me in such situations.

Have a nice day.

isnortbooze: Svergie, you can't expect to win every hand.

Svergie, you can't expect to win every hand. The way things stood preflop, you had about 61% equity in the hand. If you get ajo vs k5s in 10 times you will lose about 4 of those time. So even though it seems to you like you were way ahead, you didn't even have a pair yet and you weren't that far ahead at all. Poker is a long term game, so if you keep getting in that situation, things will normalize over time but you should never assume you are going to win any hand by getting it in preflop. It is simply variance and the same thing will happen with the same frequency in live games.
Rather then get over 100BB in preflop, next time check out a flop first. If you keep the pot small, it gives you more wiggle room to outplay your opponent post-flop. Remember that poker is a 5 card game so unless the river has been dealt, you cannot be sure that the best hand at any time will be the best hand at the end. In this situation had just called his 3-bet and seen that flop, you would likely have taken it down there. It is always better to win a small pot, than lose a big pot.
Regarding your inquiry of the software, our random number generator has been certified by iTech Labs in accordance with UK Gambling Commission standards. We also have excellent measures in place to detect bots and collusion. It is not necessary to reach out to support when you experience a bad beat. They are very busy with customer inquiries and this takes up their time unnecessarily.
I do think it is a good idea to discuss player hand histories. Perhaps you should use this thread as a way to gauge interest and start a skype group for such discussions.
Thank you very much for playing at Betcoin. See you at the tables!

Mentat: I think I have played more
Mon, 12/11/2017 - 23:53

I think I have played more heads up volume than any player on this site minus a two or three others.

There are certain aspects of this game that escape comprehension, that even a mastery of "GTO" will escape.

Do I have ANY data to support this? NO... however, I can sense it and I have found that sense precipitates activity, sometimes.... It is up to individual players to experiment this.

Can you control variance? Can you make certain cards fall on the felt with your mind as a tool?

I think so.

I also think that if you have this sort of mastery of the subject, you might find your skills to have progressed into other arenas, such as quantum trading and things like that.

The example here, with a quick glance, looks like it could be an introduction to a backward solution of forward solution poker 'trigonometry

I have played heads up, here, at level 50-100 when it was about 10-15k and never felt I got cheated. Actually, there was a time when I was dead certain that someone actually donated to me with 7-2 and didn't give a shit. This type of person is actually probably my predator but wasn't too keen on taking my pennies. FWIW it was a 50-100 hand.... total volume above .5/1 is minimum 10,000 hands.... not much but for this room it was.

Any place that money is involved there is a possibility of people behaving outside of the "rules" .... it's up to you to discern whether it's an acceptable risk. When I look back at how reckless I was, I laugh.... but I also remind myself it's how I got there and I also had significantly better results against higher stakes players. To be honest most of them were bums imo and I was at my peak... The ones that were really good were just really good and that's poker to me.

Hoping to develop this year

Hey booze.
Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my request so accurately.
Of course you are right in all points.
I was probably just too sad about this situation because i played it so bad myself.
You have right poker is a long term game and the variance can be terrible. Thats Poker and happens to all players.

I will only learn while playing poker and hopefully learn from my own mistakes. :)

Thank you for your support.
