...Betcoin is kicking ass. For you guys who expect instant results, I have one word for you: Come On!!!

The cryptocurrency craziness is by all counts the wildest mania in recorded history. Makes the Tulip Mania look like a kindergarten exercise. If any casino anywhere experienced anything even close to the violent currency price swings that Betcoin has experienced with the various cryptos, I can assure you, they would close down indefinitely. And, they would likely do just what Betcoin is doing. For players with money on deposit at the casinos, the casino would do their level best to do two things: make players understand that their deposits are still whole and, two, distribute those deposits in a manner as quickly as possible. In the case of BTC, transaction times and prices have been thrown into the loop (as they would in a real-world scenario as well) and are not exactly even close to cost-free. Given all of the above, everyone should just chill. Betcoin never could have predicted what has happened with BTC. The idea that they have not just decided to close down and run off with the accounts should be comfort enough. I would definitely gladly have an adult beverage and hear their stories when this phase of the crypto mania concludes...what an adventure for everyone!!! Peace Out!!!

Actually Bitcoin has been rising meteorically basically since it broke the $5 range, so it's rise should have very little to do with market maintenance. Perhaps a rapid negative fluctuation would support your point here but I'm failing to see the point conversely.

Sorry to nit pick here :D

We're going to go to the fair and ride the pony!

Bigthangz has a tiny fallis, It's just not fair!

When I ride in bigthangz truck I have to pay a fare or get the tweezers out to make him ejaculate.

When I went to the fayre and the pony was already in use I felt it wasn't fayre so I bribed the pony police with an extra bus fayre.

Tue, 01/16/2018 - 03:53

Hi guys,

The bad beat jackpot (which belongs to the players, not betcoin) is currently worth a little over USD $560,000

They have already missed the first deadline, set by themselves.

They aren't sharing any reasonable data or info about the Jackpot.

-They have reached out to me personally to brainstorm some ways to distribute the 43 BTC that would be 'fair'.

-They told me they would explain everything to me before actually making the payouts. If they follow through, this will at least prevent them from shipping the payments in any obviously stupid way.

-They've given me explicit permission to share our communications (although, if there's anything confidential they'd like to discuss, which doesn't involve fucking players, I would totally respect that. Obviously all the data they have and are using to calculate the payouts should not be made public.)

-My account remains unbanned and new management has gone out of their way to maintain a fairly constant line of communications regarding the BBJP.

TL:DR - It's not just Andrew and Jessica fuking with everyone, hoping that eventually this whole thing will be forgotten. Do no give up hope Betcoiners - and do not stop asking them for your money.

Maybe they sold off the bbj and then realized the market correction was happening so they can now buy back the original amount for 50%

zzzzzz: That would be funny...
Wed, 01/17/2018 - 15:56

Actually, as in every day -- while haters are hating we are working :) I'm looking forward to an official update from betcoin execs too... but obviously, I wouldn't be sitting here if there was not great care being taken in how we proceed.

cmon betcoin! Let's make it happen for the players sooner than later.

Wed, 01/17/2018 - 17:57

I'm pretty sure that the Poker Room will be reopened (without WPN tournaments) and the Jackpot requirements will be lowered.

I'm working on revamping the BBJP rules to be more clear and fair.

Wed, 01/17/2018 - 20:07

It seems like the correct business decision, but making this announcement prior shows a lack of foresight and planning.

I am pleased that Betcoin will still be available.

I hope they will include updates to prove that they are serious about growing. No recreational player wants to feel like they have no chance...The average regular like myself would be averse as well unless they step up to the plate and maintain security and game integrity.

Being able to play ring games for coins has always been a novel concept and Betcoin still has the chance to be one of the earlier pioneers in this realm. I still remember playing here when 500 chips was only around $250... so being able to play poker and enjoy the fluxuations of coin has been a drawing point since the days of SWC when coins were valued even lower.

Add in fast deposits, withdrawals, and the same level of security that I expect from ACR and there is no reason that this site shouldn't be able to generate a loyal base and profit.

Wed, 01/17/2018 - 20:09

Note, I read my post again and noticed that I said Betcoin will still be available.

We haven't heard from anyone else about this yet so I am looking forward to more updates from staff.

how it will look if betcoin does this:
Betcoin: hey guys, sorry about shutting down poker and taking the BBJ. We've decided to return within 2 weeks. BTW, we're new anonymous management!

Players: awesome, thanks for making amends.

Betcoin: Lol we didn't understand the data well enough for our original promise, so we had to hire old staff. Give us two more days.

Players: Okay...

Betcoin: We're continually sifting through the data [no ETA this time or explanation]

Players: ...

Betcoin: Lol, good news! We're not paying out but we're reopening the cash games and will let you all play for a chance to win a portion of the BBJ! Even though we will never pay it all out at once, we totally have it -- trust us! Just redeposit to play, despite our earlier broken commitments.

because the us can no longer play here.

moonshibe: Probably figure it out before you reopen poker E$%$#@%
Wed, 01/17/2018 - 19:10

I sat at BBJ tables for hours and paid in for a fu$%ing reason, if you're planning to launch poker and bbj again, you better clear up with the people who paid into the first one.

spaced: from what i gather
Wed, 01/17/2018 - 20:56

they will reopen with the previous bbj amount already being added to it from the start. This would absolutely be great news imo. I have confidence that the new staff in place would actually run a pretty good operation and I would gladly start playing here again, assuming that the rake structure was adjusted to the heads up tables.

spaced: most of the backlash yall will take from this decision will come

from people who can no longer afford to play anyway.

LivingLife: Everyone is forgeting US Can't play anymore
Wed, 01/17/2018 - 21:16

All of you guys are forgetting that US players can't play anymore so they obviously can't just say " Hey everyone we decided to open up poker so we don't have to pay out the bbj." I believe that we are going to get screwed on this like most of us have in the past by betcoin. I mean think about it all we have right now is "Hey we got bought out no more poker." "Hey we are the new owners and we are going to pay out the BBJ within 2 weeks and NO LATER". "Hey we can't figure something that that we bought and should have records of we will get back to you in a undescribed period of time and pay you." So my question is does this not sound exactly like the old Betcoin?

spaced: i totally forgot that us players

can no longer play here. Ignore everything I said previously.

Wed, 01/17/2018 - 21:37

So I asked support Danny about this info about you speaking to the managers and if its possible they are going to reopen the poker room.....

He has told me in NO uncertain words that the managers have not spoken to you or any other player about this.

Support Danny

managers provide updates, they do not have discussions with each player what to do with the bbj

When I asked about talking to you in general this was the reply

Support Danny

this topic is not discussed with players until there is final decision

I'm not doubting you as I don't know you at all, but all this makes me worry that we are getting the same run around like always...

Wed, 01/17/2018 - 21:53

Betcoin, as previously stated, has been very transparent with this guy since new management took over.

I wouldn't say I vouch for him but don't go wasting supports time. An announcement will be made shortly.

LivingLife: I would love to hear them confirm or even update us with info
Wed, 01/17/2018 - 21:55

Ya, OHYEAH I don't mean for this to sound in any way that I'm doubting you. I'm just worried that within 1 month of taking over they have already missed the big timeline and did not keep their word which what we had a lot of with the last administration. I'm currently speaking with Danny and all I keep getting is that they have something exciting to announce next week.

Support Danny

we want players to be surprised not prepared

which is why you can't have all details

at present

I don't want all the details... I want something where I feel like I'm not just getting another run around

Support Danny

you should allow yourself a bit of faith, we have been here for long time with all sorts of glitches and we intend to be here for much more and even better

A long time? You guys took over a month ago? Faith? The only thing I'm aware that you guys have done in the last month is come in ban all US people and miss your own promised deadline and then give vague updates of we will get back to you
please tell me how I'm wrong
Also I mean no disrespect I would love to be corrected

@livinglife, I don't blame you for being suspicious and I don't think inquiring with support is wasting time.

Wed, 01/17/2018 - 21:59

The announcement is being drafted currently -- so asking support who then asks management who is currently writing the article... certainly wouldn't expedite things.

Did some digging and found the following:

Per Tyler at betcoin poker the acquisition/internal transfer of betcoin poker was made after they agreed to lower the BBJ so they don’t actually have to do that. “Consider the poker as a freshly launched room.
That was announced from the old Betcoin, as also they closed the poker down. Since now it is under different management and operations, we can'y carry responsibility for another people statements”

There is no active affiliate program on BetcoinPoker per Tyler.

Since this isn’t posted anywhere I thought I would post it here so no one is wondering where their affiliate income from poker went to.
