Satellite and Ticket Sytem Explained

Last updated: July 26th, 2016

The satellite system on Betcoin is unlike that on most other sites, so it's a little confusing for newer players even if they aren't new to poker. Instead of T$ or must-plays, the satellites to Betcoin-only tournaments (the ones with bitcoin buy ins, not USD buy ins) use a ticketing system. This has many benefits over other systems, since it allows you to play satellites when you don't necessarily have time to play the target tournament that day and allows you to 'bank' many tickets...maybe for those days when your bankroll takes a nosedive and you don't want to buy more bitcoins. In addition to the daily coin satellites, Betcoin uses the ticketing system for it's promotional freerolls. This includes the welcome freeroll, the 'THANK YOU' freeroll, and any promotional loyalty freeroll.

So, you have a how do you use it? It's easy.

Step 1: Click on your profile at the top left corner of the screen and then select wallet.

Step 2: Now you are in your wallet. This is where you can check your balance, see how much you have in play, redeem your betcoin points for more chips, start a table using the table starter, see all of your previous transactions, or deposit or withdraw. To get to the spot in your wallet where your tickets are, however, you'll need to click on the Bonus tab.

Step 3: Now you are in the screen where your tickets are located, if you have any. Under upcoming tournaments you'll see how many tickets you have and what the next tournaments you can use them in are. When you are ready to play, just click register for the ticket you wish to use and you'll be automatically registered to that tournament on the client. Make sure you have the client open because if the tournament has already started, you'll be seated immediately.
